Obedience 2.0: Saturdays at 9:30am starting May 20th. Obedience 2.0 takes you and your dog on the road to fine tune and enhance obedience skills learned in Basic Obedience. One of the main goals of this class is to “Distraction Proof” what your dog already knows, in addition to adding some new commands such as an in-motion sit, off-leash heeling, and more challenging recalls.  Our first class will be held at Barley’s and we will determine locations for the remaining classes then. Basic Obedience is a strongly suggested prerequisite to Advanced Obedience. Class is $125 for 5 weeks.

Puppy 2nd Grade: Saturdays at 11am starting May 20th. For dogs 6 – 12 months old. Calling all puppies and adolescents! Come join us in Puppy 2nd grade, where we begin the foundation for all things obedience. Puppies will learn basic on-leash obedience in an interactive manner while in the company of other puppies. Class is $125 for 5 weeks. All pups must have current vaccinations including rabies.

Reactive Dog Workshop: Saturday, May 6th at 11:00am. Does your dog bark at other dogs or people when they’re on leash? Are they just so excited to see other dogs or people they won’t listen to you or stay with you? This workshop is all about learning how to handle your dog when they are lunging and barking at other dogs instead of walking with you. $25 per dog. (As long as the weather is good, we will be meeting at the field before Tanner Park, not Barley’s. An email confirmation will be sent the day before for location.)

Puppy Kindergarten: Wednesdays at 7:30pm starting May 10th. There’s no better time to start your pup off on the right paw than right now! In fact, beginning a puppy’s education and socialization in the first few months of life is key to the successful upbringing of your furry family member. At Barley’s, our Puppy Kindergarten classes are designed to help develop socialization skills for young pups in a safe environment, while getting a head start on essential obedience skills; plus we’ll tackle those pesky puppy antics too! Class is $125 for 5 weeks. Puppies up to 6 months of age are welcome. Must be current on all age-appropriate vaccines.

Dogs & Children; The Perfect Interaction: Monday, May 1st at 7:30pm. Every kid needs a dog, and every dog needs a kid who they can interact well with. Come to this seminar to get some ideas and pointers of how to help create that amazing bond between child and dog. Seminar is FREE! Please RSVP to save you spot, as space will be limited. Well behaved dogs on leash will be welcomed.

Crate Training Workshop: Monday, May 8th at 7:30pm. Crates create a den-like space for your to dog to seek comfort and stability in a world full of unknowns. This workshop will help you understand why the stigma that crating your dog is cruel is unsupported, and learn tips and tricks to help your pup learn to love their new den! Workshop is $25 per dog in attendance. If you would like to just come without your dog, cost is $10 per person.

Boredom Busters Workshop: Monday, May 29th at 7:30pm. Let’s keep those pups busy during the day when you’re at work, when there’s inclement weather outside, or they just need some down time.
